This has not been a good year for oil producers in more ways than one! There is yet another oil spill from a split pipeline in Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay area at North Slope. The two foot long split was discovered on November 29 on a routine inspection. The line serves the Lisburne field and is operated by BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. BP first took the Lisburne line out of service when it stopped flowing normally a few weeks ago.
