

Kidnapped Oil Workers Set Free
The Scottish oil worker working for Peak Petroleum Company and Lebanese oil worker working for Setraco Nigeria Limited kidnapped on the 31st day of March and 2nd day of April respectively during separate attacks by suspected Ijaw militants have been released. The release of this set of hostages was reported to have occurred on the 4th day of April. The Scot, Mr. Gordon Gray who works for Dolphin Drilling, a servicing company to Peak Petroleum was kidnapped on Saturday the 31st day of March at Ekeremor Local Government Area, while the two Lebanese John Bebia and his brother Sheba Bebia both working for Setraco Nigeria Limited, a construction firm where abducted on Monday the 2nd day of April at Amassoma Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, all in Bayelsa state.
Till now, no group of Niger-Delta militants has accepted responsibility for this abduction. However, no ransom was paid for the release of the hostages.
