Senior Petroleum Engineer

Provide technical and commercial support for business development to client’s Australia and China Asset Teams. Provide reservoir and facilities technical evaluation and recommendations in relation to clients production and development assets. Co-ordinate review and evaluation of new business/investment opportunities across exploration, production and corporate including preparation of recommendations and proposals for Executives and the Board. Gather new data and undertake technical and commercial evaluation and economic modelling of client’s oil and gas exploration, development and production projects. Engage, supervise and coordinate third party advisor and technical services where required. In collaboration with finance, maintain and update asset and business development economic models ensuring results are consistent with business financial model. Maintain and update capital and operating cost data for various spheres of client’s operations and work with exploration and development teams to build development concepts and cost structures for use in assessment of opportunities. Work closely with exploration and asset teams in developing investment plans and ensure petroleum engineering and finance input is consistent and complete. Maintain seriatim of potential and current client’s projects. Ensure that the petroleum engineering input into development studies and developments is thorough and where appropriate actively participate in the preparation review and presentation of investment opportunities. Provide petroleum engineering support for the business and work with the Head of Petroleum engineering to maintain a consistent approach to petroleum and reservoir engineering within the company. Actively look for new business development opportunities for our client in Australia and SE Asia.
