Senior Reservoir Engineer

Our client requires a Senior Reservoir Engineer to work from their offices in Australia. The position is a replacement position and would require a start around November 2009.

JOB FUNCTION
To provide technical support to the multifunction Asset Teams. Reservoir Engineering studies work on selected non-operated assets to ensure optimisation of reservoir management and development for new and existing fields. Company technical representative that conducts and promotes technical work to ensure the value of the assigned assets are maximised to the benefit of the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
To undertake reservoir engineering studies of selected fields with the objective of optimising production and economic recoverable reserves for new development schemes, to promote cost effective alternative development opportunities for fields already in production and undertake and be responsible for their reservoir management to fulfil production and recovery targets. Technical Representative for selected assets with special emphasis on reservoir and petroleum engineering issues.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Reservoir Engineering: To perform reservoir simulation activities and support the reservoir and petroleum engineering input into multidisciplinary studies. To carry out Material Balance Calculations and undertake reservoir simulation modelling, ensuring the quality of input and output data. To analyse Reservoir fluid properties and their interpretation. To interpret well test data and ensure that results are duly and timely confronted with or applied to geological and dynamic models. To propose Reservoir data collection requirements for optimal and cost effective risk management. To support all aspects of modelling or reservoir management studies related to the well bore and flow lines. To integrate work with other specialists within the fields of Geology, Geophysics and Petrophysics Health, Safety and Environment.
