Hearing on F&S Oil biofuel facility delayed
A hearing on a dispute over F&S Oil Co.'s lease for a biofuel facility in Cheshire has been postponed for a month so the court-appointed receiver can question the landlords under oath.
Carlton E. Helming, who was appointed receiver for F&S Oil Co. one week after it abruptly closed March 7 because of financial problems, also said Friday that the April 30 auction of assets yielded less than $900,000.
The court hearing on the lease originally was scheduled for Monday in Hartford Superior Court, but Helming said it has been rescheduled for June 12. The delay allows him time to question the principals of Cheshire Investment Corp., which owns the land and the building on Sandbank Road where F&S Oil was developing a biofuel manufacturing plant....
